Unqualified 1:1 Classroom AssistantLocated: BristolPay: £89 minimum – Competitive ratesStart date: September 2025Teaching personnel are looking to recruit an unqualified 1:1 assistant to join one of our local schools in the Bristol area.This school is a supportive and inclusive educational environment dedicated to fostering the academic and personal growth of all their students. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) 1:1 Classroom Assistant to join our team and provide tailored support to students with specific needs.Overview:As a 1:1 Classroom Assistant, you will work closely with an individual student, helping them to engage with their learning and develop essential social and emotional skills. You will collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and nurturing learning environment that encourages the student’s progress and well-being.Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualised support to a designated student with SEMH needs in the classroom setting.- Assist the student in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning objectives.- Implement strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.- Forster a supportive and safe environment to help students build confidence and independence- Collaborate with teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to develop and review Individual Education Plan (IEPs)- Monitor and record the student’s progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.- Support student during social interactions and help them develop appropriate social skills.- Always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.Requirements:- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH needs, is highly desirable.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a positive relationship with students, staff, and parents.- Patience, empathy, and proactive approach to supporting student learning and well-being.- A Passion for impacting positive change within the education system.- Ability to work as art of a team and adapt to the individual needs of students.- &nbs
