More information is available on our Career site at .Job DetailsThis is an exciting opportunity to join the Resource Management Competency Centre. Working primarily in the Improvement section, you will be part of a busy team optimising the use of the Oracle Cloud Strategic Platform. Working as one of two Lead Officers , you will be responsible for management of improvement work relating to the Oracle Cloud Fusion system which covers Finance/Procurement/HR & Payroll. Responsibilities include release management, management of staff, identifying and assessing opportunities for system and process improvements. There is an ongoing project bringing in new modules to the platform, and you will assist with the transition of this new functionality into the team.You will:
  • Facilitate scoping and business priority setting for large or complex changes, engaging senior stakeholder and obtaining formal agreement as required .
  • Drive the requirements gathering process where necessary, identifying what stakeholder input is required.
  • Take responsibility for the investigation and application of changes to implementation scope.
  • Encourage and motivate colleagues to share creative ideas and learn from failures.
  • Lead the assessment, analysis, planning and design of upgrade and release and requests for change, including assessment of risk.
  • Liaise with business and IT partners on upgrade and release scheduling and communication of progress.
  • Manage staff within the team including allocating management and supervisory responsibilities, providing coaching and support and delegating responsibilities where possible.
The PersonYou will be able to demonstrate:Educated to SCQF level 8 which includes HND or SVQ level 4 or equivalent in a computing/systems or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience .Experience of engaging with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.Ability to manage conflicting demands .Experience of analysing problems and determining appropriate and practical solutions.Good knowledge and understanding of the security implications within the area of control .Ability to lead and motivate others to perform to the highest standards.Proven staff management of a team with strong leadership and team building skills, and evidence of supporting staff development.Experience of collaborative working with both internal staff and external organisations.Excellent understanding of the business area and the impacts of change on the business solutions.As a progressive employer, we offer the opportunity to work in this role as a “blended working” arrangement with home-working opportunities and occasional office-working as required.
