Job Title: Trade Engineer - BricklayerContract Type: 12-week temporary contract (possible extension)Location: Coventry, CV3Salary: £35,162 per annum (£18.28 per hour)Hours of Work:
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Job PurposeTo carry out maintenance, repairs, and planned works across a range of properties, with a primary focus on bricklaying. The role supports the delivery of high-quality services within Maintenance Operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform bricklaying tasks and associated trade duties to support maintenance and repair works.
  • Carry out slabbing and fencing works as required.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and organisational policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date qualifications and training to meet regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Provide support to other trade engineers on-site when required.
  • Operate company vehicles in accordance with organisational procedures and driving policies.
  • Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Accurately record and update job/task information using designated systems.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, representing the organisation professionally.
  • Manage and maintain company tools, equipment, and van stock in line with procedures.
Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Qualifications: NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Bricklaying.
  • Experience:
  • Proven expertise in bricklaying and related tasks.
  • Experience in slabbing and fencing.
  • Experience working with customers and contractors/subcontractors.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve work-related issues.
  • Comfortable with manual handling and working in multi-storey buildings (up to 16 storeys).
  • Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of bricklaying techniques and associated trades.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
