About The Team
You will join the Product Finance team which is part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) group at Worldpay. The team is responsible for managing the Product group’s Profit and Loss (P&L) and providing commercial support for Product initiatives across the company.
The team works closely with the Product leadership team, Portfolio, Implementation, and the wider Finance group to steer the business towards achieving its financial and operational targets. The team is involved in supporting every product in the business, so we get to be involved in how the company ultimately builds and maintains success.What You Will Be Doing
In this role you will support in the planning and execution of Merchant Solutions’ strategic and financial plans, working closely with the business and cross-functionally across finance teams to provide insight and enable decisions. Primary focus areas include:
  • Supporting monthly close and forecast to help manage the team’s spending as part of the drive to hit our budget. You will also work closely with the accounting team throughout close to help maintain accurate financials.
  • Partner with the Product teams, working closely with them to help build out business cases from inception to seeing it drive revenue for the business. You will help challenge and stress test assumptions to drive accuracy and reliability of the financials.
  • Commercially analyse current product performance, identifying opportunities for growth, becoming subject matter experts in the products that we help manage.
  • Investment analysis and appraisals to support future growth opportunities.
  • Support the annual financial budget/planning process where we will be building out what’s required for the team to succeed whilst challenging them from a cost perspective to make sure we are spending effectively.
  • Ad-hoc project work supporting product leadership with key decisions as well as challenges that they bring to us.
What You Bring
  • A bachelor’s degree, ideally financial/Economics, or another numerate discipline but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills – a confident communicator
  • Proactive, enthusiastic with a strong ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Highly organised, with good time management skills and an ability to multi-task
  • Ability to build a network and comfortable interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • MS Office experience, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • You have a keen interest in the payments and technology industry
  • You have ambitions to study towards a professional accountancy qualification e.g. CIMA
