Renowned for quality, precision, and service excellence, we're seeking a skilled TIG welder looking to transition into a mobile service technician role with extensive training and development.Role OverviewWe are looking for a motivated and experienced TIG Welder to join our growing service team as a Service Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on individual to grow into a technically advanced field-based role, travelling to client sites across the UK and Ireland to install, service, and maintain specialist steel belt systems.No previous service technician experience required - full training will be provided over a 2-3 year period, including time shadowing senior technicians and visits to our European headquarters for product-specific training.Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to client sites across the UK & Ireland to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of steel belt systems.
  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components (typical thickness 0.6mm to 1.2mm, max 3mm)
  • Diagnose faults and conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on steel belt conveyors.
  • Liaise directly with clients, delivering a professional and customer-focused service.
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports.
  • Work closely with senior technicians during the training phase.
  • Attend training sessions at our European HQ as part of development program.
Person SpecificationEssential:
  • Proven TIG welding experience, ideally working with thin-gauge stainless steel and carbon steel (0.6mm-1.2mm)
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and Ireland, with occasional travel to Europe.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Practical, hands-on mindset with a problem-solving approach
  • Able to work independently once trained.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in a field-based role or equipment servicing
  • Familiarity with industrial machinery or conveying systems.
