- conducting audits and inspections, identifying trends, and ensuring health and safety compliance with legislation and the YTL Construction Health and Safety Management system
- providing support and guidance to the Site teams, employees, and supply chain partners on all matters relating to health and safety on-site
- completing the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near-miss events to identify root causation, ensuring appropriate remedial action is taken, and lessons learnt are shared and communicated
- achieving and monitoring targets and KPIs
- identifying and monitoring trends and putting forward improvement ideas
- developing and presenting monthly reports
- working collaboratively with other members of the Health and Safety team
- supporting, monitoring, and maintaining the delivery of safe working practices in line with company policy and procedures
- working closely with the YTL Construction Health and Safety Manager and Site teams, including our contractors.
- educated to a health and safety standard (NEBOSH General, Construction Certificate or similar)
- health and safety experience gained within a civil engineering and construction work environment (preferable)
- previous experience of working within a team environment
- experience in developing systems to support cultural development
- the ability to undertake statistical analysis, develop trends, and recommend improvement strategies
- hazard identification and risk mitigation processes
- first-hand knowledge of ISO45001 management systems (preferable)
- the ability to understand complex tasks and challenge decision-making and working methods in a constructive manner
- a comprehensive understanding of current health and safety legislation
- the ability to work with management to produce and present informative and accurate reports
- the ability to review and further develop safe systems of work.
