We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Monitoring Technician to join our Environment & Safety Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.We are looking for a reliable, flexible and committed Monitoring Technician to join our Environmental team. It is key that you are able to work efficiently as part of a team, as well as independently. While you may be performing the same array of tests day to day, the projects you undertake and the locations you are working from will constantly change.The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
  • Trade effluent sampling
  • Water sampling and water compliance monitoring
  • Daily travel to client sites
  • Report writing and customer liaison
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Must be able to follow written procedures and instructions
  • Be able to communicate verbally and in writing with the client when faults have been identified
  • Produce detailed site observations to be used to prepare technical reports based on current guidelines, legislation and best practice
  • The candidate should be flexible in their working and have a positive attitude
  • Candidates must be able to work in safe manner avoiding hazards to themselves, colleagues and clients
