Do you want to play a key role in helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a vibrant nursery environment?GSL Education are looking for a passionate Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join nurseries in St Leonards.About the Role:As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will assist in planning and delivering activities that encourage learning, creativity, and independence for children aged 0–5. You will work closely with other staff and parents to ensure each child receives tailored support and guidance to thrive in their early years.Responsibilities of a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner:
- Deliver high-quality care and support to children throughout the nursery day.
- Plan, prepare, and lead age-appropriate learning and play activities.
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, and physical development.
- Observe and monitor children’s progress, providing feedback to colleagues and parents.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.
- Promote positive behaviour and support children in developing essential life skills.
- Assist with personal care, mealtimes, and daily routines.
- Support children during transitions and settling-in periods.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to meet individual needs.
- Participate in training, reflective practice, and professional development.
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting children.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
