🚗 Hybrid Working | Immediate Start AvailableBirmingham City Council is seeking an experienced Safeguarding Social Worker to join their dedicated team, working to protect and promote the welfare of vulnerable children and young people across the city.This is a frontline role in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong assessment, risk management, and relationship-building skills.🔹 Key Responsibilities:Manage a varied caseload of children subject to safeguarding concerns, including Child Protection Plans, Child in Need plans, and Looked After ChildrenConduct thorough assessments and Section 47 enquiriesDevelop and implement care and safety plans in line with statutory guidanceWork closely with children, families, and multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomesPrepare and present reports for case conferences, reviews, and court proceedingsMaintain accurate case records on the council's systems🔹 Requirements:Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registrationMinimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience in safeguarding or child protectionStrong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory proceduresAbility to work under pressure and manage complex casesEnhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)Car driver with access to own vehicle preferred🔹 Benefits:Competitive rate of £33.30 per hour (Umbrella)Hybrid working arrangementsSupportive management and regular supervisionWeekly payroll and dedicated recruitment supportRandstad Care acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
