- Supporting people with learning disabilities, including using communication tools like Makaton or PECs
- Working with individuals with autism and/or visual impairments
- Experienced with behaviour that is highly challenged and applying Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies
- An individual who is comfortable supporting someone with complex needs.
- Experience working with individuals who may at times present behaviours that challenge.
- Confident in implementing proactive and person-centred strategies that promote emotional safety, dignity, and engagement.
- Holds a full UK manual driving licence and is confident driving different vehicles
- Daily Support: Helping with personal care, meal preperation and cooking, medication, and daily routines
- Building Trust: Getting to know John and supporting him in a way that works for him
- Encouraging Independence: Helping him achieve personal goals and explore new things
