- BPS accredited Doctoral level training in clinical psychology/Masters level training in Counselling or Forensic Psychology including specific models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, cognitive Behavioral therapy and lifespan development psychology OR cognitive and/or Behavioural Psychotherapy - post graduate qualification
- Accreditation as a practitioner psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council or BABCP
- Able to draw on a range of psychological and theoretical approaches to inform assessment and therapy.
- Ability to identify and employ mechanisms of clinical governance as appropriate to support and maintain clinical practice in the face of regular exposure to highly emotive material and distressing clinical experiences and strategy behaviours.
- Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies
