Located in the heart of Carshalton, this school pride themselves on their supportive community and dedicated staff members who work tirelessly to nurture and inspire their students.Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to students.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring the curriculum meets the needs of all students.
  • Lead small group activities and interventions to support the learning of individuals and small groups.
  • Provide support for students with special educational needs (SEN), adapting resources and activities as necessary.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers where appropriate.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering the social and emotional development of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and strategies to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Hold a relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience working in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently when required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards supporting the diverse needs of students
