The role requires a high level of professional competence and flexibility in undertaking responsibilities in line with service needs.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a restricted and appropriate caseload under the supervision of the Team Manager or Senior Social Worker.Undertake statutory assessments, reviews, and reassessments, applying relevant social work theories and best practices.Work in accordance with key legislation, policies, and procedures to provide support and care planning for adults and their carers.Maintain clear, accurate, and timely records in line with legal and organisational requirements.Lead on customer reviews, planning meetings, and other statutory or care-related forums.Liaise with multi-agency partners to deliver innovative, person-centred services.Contribute to safeguarding enquiries, taking proportionate actions to ensure safety and compliance with statutory responsibilities.As required, operate within the Home First service model, managing initial referrals and delivering short-term interventions to prevent long-term dependency.Candidate RequirementsSocial Work qualification (BA/BSc, MA, or equivalent)Social Work England registrationExperience in adult mental health settings is essentialStrong understanding of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislationAbility to work autonomously while contributing positively to team objectivesEnhanced DBS clearance and relevant right to work documentationWhy Scunthorpe?Scunthorpe offers an appealing balance of work and lifestyle.
