- Design, build, and maintain reports/dashboards (PowerBI, Superset, Excel) for internal and external customers, ensuring outputs meet business needs.
- Interrogate databases (e.g., SQL), analyse/mine/process data, and validate results to support decision-making.
- Define, monitor, and communicate KPIs, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through checks, cleaning, filtering, and automation of processing tasks to improve efficiency and insights.
- Collaborate across the client departments to meet reporting deadlines, act as a Subject Matter Expert for assigned areas, and cross-train BI team members.
- Support system selection and upgrades to ensure accurate data generation, while driving continuous process improvements, resolving discrepancies, and implementing data quality procedures.
- Research and apply automation to optimise reporting and maximise data value.
- Work within company policies (e.g., Information Security) and contribute to a culture of data quality and continuous improvement.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivots, charts) and PowerBI dashboards; strong knowledge of data management platforms.
- Skilled in data analysis, modelling, interpretation, and trend identification, with experience sourcing/managing data from multiple systems.
- Telecoms industry background, ideally fibre-related products, with knowledge of network topologies (POP, XGS-PON).
- Strong analytical and data handling skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic programming knowledge (Excel logic, Python) for automation and conditional logic.
- Experienced in presenting complex data concisely to varied audiences, including senior management.
- Degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent experience).
- Power BI or similar/relevant certifications.
