Permanent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a leading accountancy practice based in Aberdeen City Centre. This opportunity would suit someone with previous practice experience, looking to broaden their exposure across a varied client base in a supportive and collaborate environment.Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Preparing financial statements for a range of clients and owner managed businesses, ensuring compliance with various accounting requirements.
  • Preparing management accounts for a range of clients on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Carrying out reviews of charity financial statements and preparing charity accounts ensuring SORP compliance.
  • Working closely with colleagues across departments such as tax and payroll to deliver accurate and efficient client services.
  • Developing strong client relationships by providing clear, confident responses to queries and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Contributing towards the wider team by supporting a range of ad-hoc tasks and project work.
Applicants to this role require:
  • Proven experience within a professional accountancy practice.
  • ICAS/ACCA part qualified/qualified by experience highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrable strong numerical ability with sharp analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven client-focused approach, with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in accounting ERP systems.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks whilst adhering to deadlines.
  • To be a team player, committed to working effectively with colleagues.
