West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Night Care Officer to join our team at Notrees Care Home, reporting to the Registered Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our residents and make a positive impact on their lives.About the RoleAs the Senior Night Care Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care during the night shift. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and supervising a team of Night Care Officers to ensure the highest standards of care are met
  • Providing direct care and support to residents, including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and feeding
  • Monitoring and recording residents' health and well-being, reporting any concerns to the Registered Manager
  • Ensuring the safety and security of residents during the night
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of individual care plans
  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff members
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
About YouThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Experience working in a similar role within a residential care setting
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Sound knowledge of care standards and regulations
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to care
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
