
Management Accountant (12 Month FTC)

- Producing monthly Management Accounts for multiple legal entities – This will include Profit and Loss, Balance Sheets, KPI’s, Cashflows plus operational reporting
- Producing management account packs to share with senior management and departmental packs for department heads of. This will include some elements of commentary highlighting both favourable and adverse variances and highlighting opportunities to save cost or improve business efficiencies. These will need to be timely and always right first time
- Producing of VAT returns for two UK entities, two Dutch returns and one Germany return. May be needed for support for US sales tax returns
- Taking full ownership of Fixed Asset Registers, Accruals and Prepayment Schedules with monthly reviews with Financial Controller
- Reviewing of stock costing methodologies and ensuring that valuations are correct on our stock ledgers as well as supporting the wider business to ensure that we have robust stock controls across all systems. This will include the management of elements such as Freight and duties accrual and prepayments through landed costings workings
- Supporting in the preparation of Statutory accounts and associated external audits for both UK and US businesses. This will include liaising with external parties to understand requirements and timelines
- Ensuring that our internal recharging processes is being completed in a timely manner with effective methodologies of splitting group costs and recharges between entities
- Management of intercompany reconciliation process
- Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by the Company
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA or QBE (completed or in progress)
- Intermediate to Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills across all levels in the business including senior stakeholders
- Experience of working across multiple currencies advantageous
- Experience in dealing with stock valuations & stock-related transactions
- Ability to develop solutions and problem-solve
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisation skills and adaptability
- Knowledge of GDPR and an appreciation of confidentiality
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually
- Self-motivated with a positive and can-do attitude
