This is a full-time, long-term role supporting pupil attendance and engagement across the school.Job Details

  • Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Location: Tooting, Southwest London
  • Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the SchoolThis specialist SEMH school supports boys aged 5-19 with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school provides a therapeutic, supportive, and structured environment, tailored to help pupils re-engage with learning.Responsibilities
  • Monitor and track student attendance data daily
  • Follow up on absences through calls, emails, and home visits where necessary
  • Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to improve attendance
  • Maintain accurate records and produce regular attendance reports
  • Support safeguarding procedures in relation to student absence
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in school administration, attendance, or pastoral roles
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality procedures
  • Calm, confident, and empathetic approach – especially in challenging situations
  • Experience working in SEN, SEMH, PRU, or alternative education settings is highly desirable
Essential Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child & Adult Workforce)
  • Two recent and relevant references
