If this sounds like you and you want to work at Sizewell B Power Station in Suffolk, please read on!The OpportunityWe're looking for a new team member in the Quality Management Group to provide support and assurance that industrial safety arrangements are in place and compliance is maintained against site, company and industry requirements. We need you to be continuously looking at performance improvement and to be the leader of proficient risk identification and the associated management processes. You'll also oversee the training needs of the teams, whilst always maintaining a positive industrial safety profile out in the field.Pay, benefits and cultureThe salary range associated with this role is between £45,641 - £95,993 based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.   • Accountable for providing specialist industrial safety advice to line management and for the delivery of agreed targets
  • Liaising with the internal and external Regulators on industrial safety matters
  • Engaging with ISB as a key stakeholder in the revision or production of industrial safety standards or guidelines for company wide application
  • Participating in the Industrial Safety Peer Group network in the development and implementation of fleetwide continuous improvement initiatives and sharing of good practice.
Who you areAs a minimum you should hold a NEBOSH Certificate (ideally working towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent) and it would be desirable if you are a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (MIOSH). A relevant HNC in a technical discipline would also be acceptable. It would be advantageous to have knowledge of HSE regulatory framework, UK safety legislation relevant to nuclear power stations and operations and site licence requirements.Knowledge of key industrial safety risks present within nuclear power stations and of applicable control measures to mitigate risks would be beneficial, alongside a detailed knowledge of company safety management systems and associated industrial safety standards, specifications and guidelines in place to provide safe systems of working within the power station environment.
