Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of a service model that works in partnership with local services to meet the needs of those presenting with complex mental health needs together?Telford and Wrekin Community Mental Health service provide assessment and evidence based interventions for people who present with complex mental health difficulties that are significantly impacting on their daily life alongside our partner organisations.We are looking for a Senior Nurse Practitioner to the join our team specifically working within our award winning Clozapine and Depot Clinics to support the delivery of our service.Main duties of the jobThe successful applicant will need to encourage effective engagement of those presenting with complex mental health needs, utilising excellent communication skills, whilst maintaining compassion and hope through every contact. We incorporate a trauma informed psychological approach which aims to increase people's independence, working towards an improved quality of life.The successful applicant will have sound clinical knowledge and experience around antipsychotic medication administration, legal frameworks, contraindications, monitoring requirements and supporting physical health.There is an emphasis on team based multi-disciplinary decision making which lends itself to creating a supportive environment for staff.   • Post registration experience, evidence of formal courses and training at diploma/degree level
  • Registered mentor

  • Non-medical prescriber
  • Phlebotomy training
ExperienceEssential
  • Evidence of extensive post registration experience with working with adults experiencing mental health related difficulties
  • Experience of working with people who have difficulty in engaging with services and have complex mental health needs
  • Evidence of sound knowledge around antipsychotic medications and monitoring
