An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of consultant adolescent forensic psychiatrist at Bluebird House, a medium secure forensic inpatient unit. The post holder will work within the 14 bedded medium secure adolescent unit.Main duties of the jobThe Trust is seeking to appoint a consultant forensic child and adolescent psychiatrist to join the existing team at Bluebird House. This is a full-time post with a potential to take up a leadership role as Clinical Lead for the unit.Bluebird House is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team, with non-consultant medical staff (specialty doctor, resident doctor), psychology, occupational therapy, social worker, nursing and health-care support work provision.   • To hold Approved Clinician status at the point of taking up post
  • MRCPsych or recognised equivalent
  • Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register as a Forensic Psychiatrist and/or General Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist within 12 months of CCT at time of interview.
  • Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.
