Healthcare Assistant for PrisonsFull Time – 40 hoursSalary: £28,000 plus travel expensesLocation – Midlands Area to include but not limited to NR10 5GB and TF9 2JLConnect Health and Healthshare have come together as one organisation - Cora Health - combining our decades of experience in providing healthcare services on behalf of the NHSAbout the RoleWe are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant for our prison diagnostic services. Successful applicants will work across the Midlands area so flexibility is required. You will be required to drive a company van and transport X-ray equipment to various prisons. To succeed you must have excellent communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach to delivering first class diagnostic services and patient care. The post holder will work closely with radiographers, supporting them with patients during their clinics. You may be required to stay overnight in a hotel. Expenses for this will be covered.Training is provided and further career development opportunities exist throughout the company.Who we’re looking forWe are looking for a dedicated, positive, enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant. You must hold a full UK driving licence.Duties include but are not limited to

  • Ability to be tactful and diplomatic
  • Good organisational skills
  • Previous experience within a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential

What you’ll be doingThe Healthcare Assistant will:
  • Ensure the smooth running of clinics
  • Assist in the care and comfort of patients
  • Assist radiographers during examinations
  • Ensure the clinical room is prepared prior to the start of clinical sessions
  • Use the patient information systems (Soliton/PACS)
  • To monitor and ensure sufficient stock levels are consistently maintained in a designated clinic.
  • Ensure and maintain a patient centred and quality focused approach to all aspects of work
