We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate KS2 Primary Teacher to join a supportive and high-achieving junior school in Sandwich. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to a KS2 class, covering a maternity leave on a temporary contract. This role is open to both talented NQTs seeking their first position and experienced teachers looking to develop their skills in a fantastic setting.The school is a vibrant and inclusive junior school that prides itself on its strong sense of community and its commitment to excellence. The successful Primary Teacher will be part of a dedicated team that fosters a love of learning and supports every child to achieve their highest potential academically, socially, and emotionally.As a Primary Teacher, you will be expected to:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver outstanding lessons to a KS2 class in line with the national curriculum.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and the wider school community.
In order to be considered for this Primary Teacher role, the candidate must:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an NQT awaiting induction.
  • Have a strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Be a reflective practitioner, keen to develop their own practice.
