- developing and embedding deeper analysis to explain financial performance and improve visibility of the financial result
- playing a key role evolving the FP&A function including the adoption of new technology within the bank to drive efficiency through streamlining and automation
- Owning all Finance MI relating to month end actuals, in year outlook, business balances scorecard and costs.
- Prepare management accounts to provide senior management (including Board and Executive level) with relevant information to make informed decisions through insightful commentary including variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods.
- Focus on the BS and P&L drivers in detail and work across the organisation to improve the visibility of the financial result.
- Partner with the rest of the FP&A team to drive continued consistency, automation and transparency in reporting through driving and supporting planned technology change
- Play a key role evolving the FP&A function to support the growing needs of the bank. This includes creating and providing input into new reports to support deeper analysis on performance and the adoption of new technology within the bank – including Anaplan - to drive efficiency through streamlining and automation
- Develop and maintain a close working relationship with Investor Relations, providing key information to support external announcements and further ad-hoc analysis for investor/analyst enquiries as required

- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or equiv.) with experience of working in financial services
- Strong experience working in a Senior planning, reporting, cost or stress testing role within Financial Services FP&A is essential.
- High proficiency with Excel and Anaplan is essential. Excel proficiency must include fluency with functions used for data manipulation, data consolidation, modelling and analysis.
- Broad experience of a variety of reporting styles from Board level presentations to deep dive business review
- Advanced skills with respect to defining quality management reporting and the ability to mould output to the right level is essential.
