TeachingPermenant Role Starting June 2025East Riding Based Secondary AcademySalary - £24,790 FTE - actual salary £16,604, term time only plus 2 daysThe RoleA secondary academy in the East Riding of Yorkshire seeks to appont a Teaching Assistant from as soon as possible. As a Teaching Assistant you will provide specific assistance to children with special educational needs, within the school environment and on school outings and to provide general assistance to teaching staff in respect of these students. You will have a clear understanding of the range of difficulties that students present in mainstream schools and to be able to demonstrate suitable strategies which can be implemented to enable these children to fulfil their potential and partake fully in all aspects of the National Curriculum and school life.The SchoolAn East Riding based secondary academy, located approximately six miles to the west of Hull. The Academy forms part of a large multi academy trust that benefits hugely from collabrative practice and leadership.RequirementsThe desired Teaching Assistant will have;
  • GCSE grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, in Maths and English (C)
  • Experience in working with young people
  • A pro-active attitude
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • A Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification and epxerience in work with young people is desirable but not essential
