As Sales Manager in Basingstoke near Reading, you’ll take responsibility for the full reservations and event sales function at this busy 4* hotel. You’ll drive bedroom, meeting, and event revenue through both proactive selling and excellent client relationship management.
Working alongside the Central Events team, you’ll manage two Sales Executives and ensure each enquiry – from weddings to corporate functions – is handled professionally, efficiently and with a personal touch.
The hotel is within easy commuting distance of Reading, Newbury, Winchester, and Farnborough.Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all group & event sales and bedroom bookings
- Maximising revenue opportunities from new and repeat business
- Coaching and developing the Sales Executive team
- Monitoring performance against KPIs and targets
- Building strong internal and external client relationships
- Previous experience in event sales, reservations or a sales executive role
- Hospitality background preferred but not essential
- Proven people management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Commercially aware and target driven
