Housing Support WorkerVenn Group have been approached by a Charity and would like to introduce the following position available:Job Ref: J89400Position: Housing Support WorkerLocation: DurhamRate: Negotiable DOELength: 2-3 month with possibility of permanent placementHours: 35 hours per weekRota’d shift pattern – Shifts between 08:00 – 20:00Monday – Friday (+ 1 x Saturday per month)Key Responsibilities include:
  • Comple face to face needs-based assessments with potential residents, assessing eligibility for supported accommodation
  • Create flexible and tailored Support Plans according to residents’ individual needs
  • Complete risk assessments and carry out regular risk assessment reviews
  • Provide support to residents with complex needs, including mental health issues, domestic violence, exploitation, substance misuse, poor physical health, and housing related support needs
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to gain best outcomes for residents, including moving on to independent accommodation when ready
  • Assist residents to arrange appointments and support them to attend these where necessary
  • Refer/Signpost to other services as appropriate
  • full inductions with new residents including property viewings, move-in paperwork, and orientations
  • Assist residents with practical, daily living tasks to help develop their independence and achieve their aspirations and goals
Essential Criteria:
  • UK Driving License
  • Enhanced DBS (dated within past 6 months)
  • Experience working in similar role
