As a Behaviour Mentor, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop positive behaviour strategies, and build confidence in a nurturing environment.As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
- Assist in developing and implementing personalised behaviour support plans.
- Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and positive learning experiences.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to create a consistent support framework.
- Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive social interactions.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, pupil wellbeing, and behaviour management.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural, SEMH, or SEND needs is desirable.
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and relationship-building skills.
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach to challenging situations.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
