- Developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety management systems and procedures.
- Leading and conducting site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring effective preventative and corrective actions are implemented.
- Managing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements across all project phases.
- Overseeing and delivering health and safety inductions and training programs for all site personnel and contractors.
- Investigating all incidents and accidents, producing detailed reports, identifying root causes, and implementing robust recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Fostering a strong, positive health and safety culture across the entire site, driving continuous improvement.
- Acting as the primary liaison for health and safety with the client, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Managing and mentoring any junior health and safety team members, if applicable.
- Background working on new build residential developments
- In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Proven proficiency in developing, implementing, and managing health and safety management systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk management.
- Relevant Health & Safety Qualifications: (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Diploma, or equivalent).
