- Partner with leaders and teams right across the business to understand what's happening and how best to share it with colleagues acting as a trusted advisor on messaging, timing, and audience needs
- Write, edit and shape compelling content that makes messages clear and engaging across a range of channels - intranet, email, video, social, and more - tailoring tone and style to reflect our brand voice and values.
- Create digital content and assets such as images, graphics, and short videos (using tools like Canva), while exploring new formats such as GIFs, podcasts, and animations to diversify engagement.
- Plan and deliver campaigns, events and activities - from town halls and Q&As to culture-building initiatives - that connect colleagues with strategy and celebrate success.
- Proactively build strong connections and an editorial calendar to spot opportunities, anticipate upcoming comms needs, and turn updates into engaging stories.
- Support leaders and managers with toolkits, FAQs and talking points to ensure consistent cascades and make it easier for their teams to stay informed and inspired.
- Measure impact through data and feedback (e.g. open rates, click-throughs, surveys, sentiment) and use insights to refine and continuously improve how we communicate
- Ideally you'll have some experience (1-2 years) within communications, content creation, journalism, PR or marketing - or a strong portfolio of work if you're at the start of your career.
- For the right person, this role could be a great opportunity for a recent graduate who's keen to learn. There's also potential for us to support a Level 4 apprenticeship.
- A strong copy writer and natural storyteller, with faultless written English and great editing skills - you can spot the human angle in a business update and adapt tone of voice for different formats and audiences.
- Creative flair and an eye for detail with the ability to create simple and engaging digital content assets - such as images, graphics, and short videos - ideally using tools like Canva. Bonus points for familiarity using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, or intranet CMS.
- Highly organised and comfortable juggling different projects and deadlines (and keeping things moving when plans change).
- Confident working with stakeholders at all levels - you're a people person and know how to build trust and influence.
- A genuine interest in colleague experience, engagement and culture, as well as how communication drives performance and inclusion.
- Energy, curiosity and a collaborative approach, bringing fresh ideas and a willingness to experiment with new channels and formats.
