My client is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee and maintain industrial equipment to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing processes. This role is based in Leeds and requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing systems.Key responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimise downtime.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Carry out routine inspections to identify potential maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
The salary for this role is £38k - £42.5k.The shift pattern is Monday - Friday days.A successful Maintenance Engineer should have:
  • A qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with industrial or manufacturing equipment.
  • Electrical knowledge and experience is a bonus.
  • Gas safe certifications beneficial.
  • Pipe-fitting work beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards within an industrial setting.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on maintaining high standards.
