
Secondary SEMH Teaching Assistant

- Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
- Help manage challenging behaviours and support students in regulating their emotions.
- Assist in the delivery of learning activities that meet individual needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships to promote engagement and well-being.
- Support the implementation of personalised education and behaviour plans.
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to promote progress.
- Experience supporting young people with SEMH, behavioural difficulties, or additional needs.
- A patient, calm, and proactive approach to managing behaviour.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and staff.
- A full UK driving licence with business insurance (essential).
- A background in education, youth work, or care (preferred but not essential).
- An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
- Competitive daily pay of £86 - £100, based on experience.
