The students present with additional needs (autism, ADHD) and there are elements of trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
This role would be ideal for graduates, and those with an interest in supporting young people who need that little bit extra!Experience within a classroom is not mandatory, however you must have knowledge and awareness around SEN.
Some students may present with ADHD, autism, emotional regulation difficulties or trauma.
You will be supporting students on a 1 to 1 basis, and you will be expected to build rapport with the students in your care.
The ideal candidate will be calm and have a passion for supporting and developing young people.Role Overview:Position: Teaching Assistant (SEMH)

Working Hours: 0830 – 1530As a Teaching Assistant, you will:Provide Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, adapting materials, and ensuring a positive learning environment.
Individualised Support: Work closely with students, understanding their unique needs, and providing targeted assistance during class activities.
Behaviour Management: Implement behaviour management strategies, promoting positive interactions and emotional regulation.
Small Group Work: Facilitate small group sessions, reinforcing learning objectives and building students confidence.
Collaborate with Staff: Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a holistic approach to student development.TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
