Private Client Tax Senior Manager – ScotlandA leading Scottish professional services group is seeking a Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join its growing team in any of their Scotland office (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Sterling). This role is perfect for experienced Manager ready to take the next step in their career.As Private Client Tax Senior Manager, you’ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of HNWIs, entrepreneurs, and family office clients. You’ll be responsible for overseeing compliance, delivering high-quality advisory work, and playing a key role in the strategic direction of the Private Client Tax team.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the compliance team to ensure deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their advisors, identifying opportunities to add value.
  • Contribute to the strategic objectives of the department and support day-to-day operations.
  • Actively participate in business development, identifying and securing new opportunities.
  • Be a recognised technical expert in private client tax, particularly in compliance matters.
  • Provide clear and supportive delegation and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Share technical expertise across the team and wider firm to support cross-service collaboration.
  • Maintain long-standing, trusted relationships with clients.
Candidate Profile:
  • Professionally qualified (e.g. CTA, ATT, CA, STEP or equivalent).
  • Strong technical background in private client tax, with a focus on compliance and advisory.
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading a team.
  • Comfortable using tax software and conducting independent technical research.
  • Commercially aware, with a proactive approach to client service and business development.
