This is your opportunity to step into a rewarding role where you’ll support students’ learning journeys and help maintain a positive classroom environment in the absence of the regular teacher.About the RoleAs a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity in the classroom. You’ll deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged and on task. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or experienced educators looking to make a difference.Key Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor (CS)
  • Deliver set lesson plans and ensure students stay focused and productive.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Provide support and encouragement to students, helping them stay motivated.
  • Liaise with teaching staff to ensure smooth handovers and continuity of learning.
  • Supervise students during break times or transitions as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements of a Cover Supervisor (CS)
  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to working across different subjects and year groups.
  • A genuine interest in education and student development.
  • A degree or relevant qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
