This role will be working with people involved in the criminal justice system, who may be leaving prison or are already living in the local community.The RoleThis role will be based at our Chesterfield, working 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and is a 6 month fixed term contract.We offer a 6 month training programme, covering aspects such as drug and alcohol knowledge, motivational interviewing skills, safeguarding, managing conflict and trauma-informed practice, to name a few. In this trainee role you will also be trained in an array of criminal justice work, including working with people who are subject to licence conditions, Alcohol Treatment Requirement (ATR) and Drug Rehabilitation Requirement (DRR) court orders, and may be involved with the Integrated Offender Management (IOM) team, Courts, Liaison and Diversion, Prison healthcare, Probation services. The focus of this role is helping engage people to address their drug/alcohol use and reduce criminality, improving their health outcomes and quality of life. A full role induction is given, and you will be supported via supervision with your line manager. This involves developing the skills to offer a range of harm reduction interventions, assessment, risk management and recovery focussed interventions to support our clients attain improved health outcomes and achieve their personalised treatment goals.If you want to help other people change their lives, we'd love to have you in our team.
