VINCI FacilitiesMobile Repair TechnicianSub Division: Facilities ManagementLocation: CroydonContract Type: PermanentHours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to FridayCreating and maintaining great places to live and work delivered by excellent people who care…Purpose of RoleAs part of the VINCI Shell FM mobile engineering team you will be joining a UK wide team of around 50 mobile engineers, the engineering team is split in to 4 regional UK teams each team has a team leader who you will report to as your direct line manager, ultimately the team report to the UK direct delivery manager. Your role will be to assist in the provision of maintenance on the client’s service stations these will generally be within a geographical area normally within a 90-minute driven distance from your home.Job DescriptionYou will be employed in a multi-task role, however you will have a core skillset / trade (Fridge / AC engineer) that you are specifically employed to deliver on the contract.The Shell retail network is as most shops, fitted with a variety of display and back up refrigeration units none of these normally are over 10 years old, or hold a gas charge of over 5KG ,most consist of two display units running from a single remote condenser unit, some larger stores have small pack inverter driven units and all stores will contain at least one integral type unit be it back up, or shop display. Air conditioning is fitted in every store and is usually a 12KW split system with ceiling mounted cassette unit.Work will be allocated to you by our scheduling team based in Denton Manchester this will as far as possible be calculated to fill your normal working shift however this can change at short notice to accommodate client’s business needs. Work will be sent via a VINCI tablet device you will also close your work with this device.You are expected to provide suitable hand tools, VINCI will provide any specialist tools required for specific tasks VINCI will ensure you have the equipment you need to undertake your job and that equipment is suitably tested and maintained.Normal working shift is 40 hours split over 5 shifts from 8:00 to 16:30 (Half hour meal break to be taken on shift) Monday to Friday. Work outside of these hours will be paid at an enhanced rate with prior agreement by VINCI management.Essential Qualifications/SkillsYou will be expected to have a minimum of Gas handling certificate and FGAS qualification and be experienced in maintenance of these type of units able to demonstrate competence as such.You will be expected to have a good general standard of DIY general and building skills as well as your specific skill set, as the clients needs change this may require specific training for new tasks.In return for your hard work we offer additional training and development, 26 days holiday (+ bank holidays), generous pension contribution, life assurance and much more.We are VINCI Facilities – experts in the built environment.
