The facility's manufacturing activities use the latest computer analysis techniques, robotic technology, and a state-of-the-art paint plant.We offer a wide range of employee benefits including:16 Rest Days during 4-week shift cycle (57%)182.5 Annual holiday hours plus bank holidaysAdditional holiday hours awarded every 2-years (max x40 hours)Monthly bonusDefined Contribution Pension Scheme (Contribution doubled by Company up to 10%)Share Ownership Scheme (50% Company matched)Personalised Flexible Benefits (Medical/Dental Cover etc)Employee Assistance ProgramFree onsite parkingOnsite GymJob Purpose:As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for completing planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure a high level of uptime is achieved on a wide range of equipment throughout the facility.What skills/experience you will have:A recognised apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline, an ONC, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance or Engineering equivalent qualificationMaintenance and fault-finding experience in a manufacturing environmentAn interest in problem solving and passion to learnHighly motivated with a proactive attitude towards continuous improvementStrong communication skillsAbility to work as part of a team and be comfortable to work independentlyTop candidates will also have:Experience with PLCsNEBOSH/IOSH Qualification or evidence of safety improvement activitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Completing planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown maintenance on:Automated Metal Cutting Equipment including Laser and PlasmaAutomated Paint PlantRobotic Welding SystemsWelding equipmentHydraulic and Pneumatic SystemsElectronic Torque equipmentAutomated Moving Lines/AGVsHydraulic PressesOverhead and Semi Goliath CranesCompleting Dynamic Risk Assessments along with adhering to the company’s Health and Safety policyUtilising the Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP PM, Agility etc) to review previous breakdown data and record actions taken on breakdown recoveriesDiagnosing PLC concerns and implementing program changesComplete training and further learning as requiredBreakdown root cause identification and countermeasure implementationTo apply for this position please Log onto Caterpillar Careers (http://www.caterpillar.com/en/careers)
