We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary School English Teacher to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly A-Level, if applicable) with innovative teaching methods, helping them develop critical literacy, communication, and analytical skills.Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English literature and language tailored to a range of abilities.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum standards and school policies.
  • Encourage a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking among students.
  • Support students’ personal and academic development through mentoring and guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and extracurricular activities.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
