As an R&D Tax Specialist, you will play a key role in helping clients identify and claim eligible R&D tax credits while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This permanent position in Chandler's Ford offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to an accountancy practice's specialised tax department.
  • Analyse client activities to identify qualifying R&D projects and expenditures.
  • Prepare and submit R&D tax credit claims in compliance with HMRC guidelines.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather relevant technical and financial documentation.
  • Provide expert guidance on R&D tax relief regulations and updates.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and claim submissions.
  • Support client audits and address queries regarding submitted claims.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices within the tax department.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the professional services industry.
Lead R&D advisory projects for growing local, national and international clientsUse your extensive knowledge to develop an ambitious team of specialistsA successful R&D Tax Specialist should have:
  • Strong knowledge of R&D tax relief regulations and HMRC compliance standards.
  • Experience in preparing and submitting R&D tax credit claims.
  • A background in a professional services environment, particularly within tax.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work with clients and teams.
  • A qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field - ATT & CTA preferred.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
