Job Title: Senior Registered Nurse

Salary: £37,132 - £40,007 per annumSanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to lead our client's dedicated team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants in delivering exceptional holistic care to service users. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the team operates in accordance with all policies and procedures, including those for recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal, and discipline.Key Relationships:
  • Line management responsibility for Registered Nurses
  • Working alongside and/or supporting volunteers within the team
  • Facilitating full participation of service users (or their family/carers) in care planning and review processes
  • Maintaining effective communication and liaison with all relevant departments, both internal and external
Complexity and Accountability:
  • Delegating tasks appropriately while ensuring safe practice and assessing competence
  • Ensuring adequate daily staff cover and participating in out-of-hours clinical support
  • Managing and assessing risk within the area of responsibility
  • Contributing to cost management and monitoring of supplies
  • Participating in quality standards and clinical audits
  • Contributing to the development of nursing care and services
  • Upholding high standards of care delivery according to guidelines and policies
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to team members
  • Demonstrating activities to new or less experienced employees and providing day-to-day supervision
  • Educating service users, carers, families, and colleagues and acting as a mentor to students
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records of service user consultation
  • Applying legal policy to support the identification of vulnerable adults
  • Maintaining own professional development and supporting staff in their development
  • Adhering to all Sanctuary Personnel policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring service user confidentiality
Qualifications Required:
  • NMC Registered Nurse with post-registration clinical experience
  • Completion of NMC recognised accredited mentor training or willingness to undertake
  • Evidence of continued professional development
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and influence an effective clinical team
  • Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector
  • Familiarity with best clinical practices for the client group
  • Demonstrated self-directed and highly motivated practice
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate difficult messages to service users and their families
  • Proficiency in negotiation and conflict management
  • Ability to manage change effectively
  • Capacity to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting
