– Strategically lead the Council’s growth remit through the Creating a Better Place transformation and regeneration programme.
– Accelerate housing delivery and strategic asset management to drive economic growth in Oldham.
– Represent Oldham at the Greater Manchester level and collaborate with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority on strategic investment priorities.
– Support the delivery of the Oldham Economic Review and Housing Task Force objectives.
– Develop a proactive business engagement and inward investment strategy to foster new enterprises and employment opportunities in Oldham.
– Manage and progress the redevelopment of Oldham Town Centre and other district centres, ensuring long-term prosperity.
– Act as the Council’s strategic landlord, overseeing corporate accommodation and property management across various estates.Requirements:
– Degree-level education with a professional qualification related to the role.
– Extensive experience in strategic leadership and large-scale organisational change programmes.
– Proven ability to work effectively and impartially with elected members in the democratic decision-making process.
– Successful track record in redevelopment, regeneration, and housing delivery services.
– Experience in resource management including people, financial, and physical resources.
