- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Finance department.
- Prepare month end management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making within the business.
- Monitor budgets and forecasts to ensure effective cost management.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to support financial audits.
- Develop and implement efficient financial processes and controls.
- Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA), qualified by experience will be considered.
- Experience in managing a small finance team
- Experience in financial reporting and analysis within an SME.
- Knowledge of UK tax regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- An eye for detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
