With over 2,600 employees, our people are the reason we are so successful, and the customer service team team make a crucial contribution to this.Nine times accredited as a Top Employer and Gold accredited for Inclusive Employers Standards we value our people and are dedicated to making sure that everybody feels empowered to bring their authentic self to work.We are recruiting for Part Time Customer Welcome Host's for Derby Station, these positions will range from 15hr - 30hrs per week over 3 or 4 days per week.We are looking for candidates to cover either a night shift roster and a day shift roster and this will involve working up to 3 or 4 shifts per week (including Sundays) with overtime possibilities.Customer Welcome Hosts can often be the first point of contact for customers and provide them with help and information. In this role you will be the face of EMR at the station and we are looking for candidates with positive energy, a can-do attitude and a strong work ethic to join our fantastic team in Derby.What will your duties as a Customer Welcome Host include?
  • Greeting customers at the gatelines and directing them to where they're going
  • Checking customer train tickets as they pass through the gate
  • Delivering outstanding levels of service to our customers at all times
  • Providing customers with advice and guidance as necessary
  • Supporting on the platform when required to assist passengers
As a Customer Welcome Host, you will be required to work shifts, including some evenings and weekends. Previous experience within a customer facing role would be advantageous but is not essential. We are looking for hard working and customer focused people to join our team.
