As a CS, this role is ideal for those who enjoy engaging with students, ensuring continuity of learning, and assisting with classroom management during teacher absences.Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Support students to remain focused and engaged with their work.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and pupil participation.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
  • Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Confidence to lead a class and deliver pre-prepared lessons.
  • Flexible, proactive, and adaptable approach to working in different school environments.
  • A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with gaps explained.
