Job Title: SEND KS2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Burton-on-Trent
Salary: £90 – £110+ per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

This role is ideal for someone who is committed to supporting pupils in Key Stage 2 with a range of additional needs, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Key Responsibilities of the SEND KS2 TA:
  • Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND in KS2.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and differentiated learning activities.
  • Promote inclusion and positive behaviour within the classroom.
  • Monitor and record progress, feeding back to teachers and parents.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements for the SEND KS2 Teaching Assistant role:
  • Experience working with children with SEND, particularly in KS2.
  • Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
