
Audio Visual Installation Engineer

- Install, terminate, and test AV systems including projectors, flat panels, control systems, audio DSPs, video conferencing equipment, and structured cabling.
- Rack build and cable management to a professional standard.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and floor plans.
- Perform system configuration and basic programming tasks (e.g., touch panels, DSP tuning, IP setup).
- Conduct site surveys and assist in preparing for installations.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and on-site teams to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues during and after installation.
- Support system commissioning and handover documentation.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow company and site-specific health and safety policies.
- Solid understanding of signal flow, audio/video distribution, and AV control systems.
- Experience with major AV brands such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC, Biamp, Shure, or similar.
- Comfortable using power tools, hand tools, and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, cable testers).
- Familiarity with IP-based AV systems and basic networking knowledge (e.g., static IPs, VLANs).
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- AVIXA CTS or other relevant AV industry certifications.
- CSCS/ECS or equivalent safety card.
- PASMA/IPAF certification.
- Knowledge of Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and other UC platforms.
- Experience in customer-facing roles on live commercial sites.
