- implementation of Authentication and Authorisation for microservices/microfrontends
- Mentorship for Junior DevOps in the team
- Ensuring tech debt is highlighted and captured in backlogs.
- Identifying right-sizing opportunities with an understanding of FinOps principles
- Technical development & configuration
- Build secure Azure production environments that supports automation. This must be aligned to agreed Architecture documentation
- Build Azure development and test environments. This must be aligned to agreed Architecture documentation
- Development of solutions using DevOps pipelines to delivery scalable, maintainable, and reusable products and services within existing and new platform & landing zones
- Ensures a smooth transition and minimal defects/issues when promoting the dev builds into the OPH environments.
- Fix any defects identified during testing
- Technical development & configuration
- All themes of work will require Azure, Terraform skills, Gitlab and some experience to Ansible
- It would be preferred if resource has PowerShell and Python Scripting experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Programming or Information Management
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in a software development role
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Basic knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle processes, agile development methodologies, software design and testing
- Linux, AWS, CI/CD, and DevOps / Operational practices allowing them to be re-tasked across the platform between delivery, improvement, and support tasks
- Resources should have a suitable amount of Terraform experience, or certification, to be able to get up to speed quickly and work confidently on the estate
- The role will be expected to work to Automation first and DevOps principles
