
Strategic Waste Manager

- To be an ambassador for the Council when dealing with all stakeholders, customers and have excellent communication and inter-personnel skills.

- To have a good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
- The ability to assess problems and provide practical solutions.

- To display good numeracy and literacy skills.
- To have the ability to multi-task and display a flexible working approach.
- Oversee the delivery of the waste treatment and disposal services to ensure compliance with performance requirements.
- Assist in the management of the payment process relating performance to payments to the waste contractor.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with the Waste Management Contract.
- Producing progress reports as appropriate to stakeholders
- Ensure inspections of waste management facilities are conducted in accordance with agreed programmes and procedures.
- Use data management techniques to identify data inaccuracies and report these performance failures through appropriate channels.
- To assist in the investigation and monitoring of customer complaints relating to the services provided.
- Current Licence to show no more than 6 penalty points as per current national driving penalties system.
- Appropriate degree and/or professional/managerial qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Car for business use.
- This is a full-time post of 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
