- To ensure accurate collation of paperwork, including manifests and delivery notes
- To maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible.
- To regular use of e-mail and phone to communicate with vendors, customers and colleagues to solve issues and reply when necessary
- Re-booking of orders or loads which have missed their booking.
- To perform various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the transportation department.
- To communicate any issues, verbal and written to the Coordinator, notifying them of any issues which may require further follow up.
- Prepare and maintain various reports including transportation metrics, performance indicators and compliance documentation
- Facilitate communication and coordination between transport planners, subcontractors, transport depots and other relevant stakeholders
- Responsible for achieving and maintaining KPI SLA agreements.
- Achieving collection and delivery KPIs.
- Ensuring a handover is completed if another person is following you in your department
- Transport logistics experience would be desirable
- Strong numerical skills
- Customer relationship/service experience
- Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office applications
